- Project: Polished concrete for a soon to be mail room located in Dallas, Georgia.
- Time: 2 days
- Factors: This building was brand new construction so there was no need to remove glue or other residue left behind from a previous floor. This helped make the project move quicker. The space was made of two different concrete slabs. One was soft and wavy, so in order to get all the rooms to match our team went over some of the floor multiple times and that did the trick.

Day 1: On the first day Southern States Refinishing went through the first five polishing step with our 700 lb grinder. We started using finer diamond grits starting at 70 metal grits and finishing with 200 grit resins. The metal grits are good for removing things off the floor such as dirt and dry wall mud. While the resins polish the floor.
Day 2: Our final grinding step was to go over the concrete with 400 grit resins. Then using a pump up sprayer we applied lithium densifier and mopped it on with a microfiber. This hardens the concrete by crystallizing inside the slab making it denser which creates a dust proof floor. After applying the lithium densifier, our team used our pump up sprayer once again and added three coats of guard to the polished concrete. Similar to the previous step, once that was sprayed on we used a microfiber to mop it across the entire floor. Finally, we burnished the entire floor to give it that nice shine.
