- Project: Stone texture on the concrete floor at The Little Tart Bakeshop in Atlanta, Georgia.
- Address: 437 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30312
- Phone: (404) 348-4797
- Project Size: About 1,500 SF.
- Time: 3 days
- Unusual Factors: The previous floor in the building looked as if it may have been a parking lot. Our team at Southern States Refinishing worked hard cleaning the floor with a floor stripper and then ran over it with a floor buffer. Doing a stone texture was the perfect choice for this type of concrete. Plus, it added some uniqueness to The Little Tart Bakeshop, which is always an added benefit.
The Little Tart Bakeshop: Stone Texture
Day 1: First, our team prepped the floor by cleaning with a floor stripper and then ran over it with a floor buffer. After the concrete floor was prepped Southern States Refinishing mixed up the texture with the desired color the bakery shop owners requested. We then started to apply the mixture by hand using a hand held trowel.
Day 2: Next, our team had about an hour of cleaning up some residue from the previous day to do. After that, we applied the rest of the texture to the floor and allowed it all to dry over night.
Day 3: Lastly, all that was left to do was clean dust that was left behind and apply clear sealer. Southern States Refinishing applied three coats of the clear concrete sealer. This made a durable concrete floor for all the foot traffic the bakery will be receiving. As well as making the stone textured concrete floor easier to clean.
